Washed out weekend.....

We we`re all excited wanting to head out to the fall festival nearby in an old historic town, but passed it up this year due to mother nature. The homes are beautiful and we love to just walk through each and every one. I guess we will have to wait until next year to be able to enjoy it once again.

Here are some pictures none of which I took.

On another note I did get to listen to the lovely sounds coming from my daughters trumpet...LOL some one help please! Oh dear lord the year just started and we have to practice for 20 minutes four times a week.....LOL I think I may have to upload some new tunes to my ipod and just convienantly have them in at the same time!

One last thing I`d like to share my newest offerings that you can find over atmy ebay.

Heres a sneak peek at them.
Flora

Sadie and Jinx

and a half dozen buns!

Hope your all staying dry.
Blessings,
Kelly

Buddy is three!!

Wow boy how time flies. It feels like we just celebrated Buddy`s first birthday and it`s already his third. This year we had a new edition Bella so she got to experience her first doggie party. I know we`re crazy we give them cake and party hats. Tank wasn`t up to partying tonight so he hid under the table, but I was able to squeak out a quick picture of Bella and Buddy. Mind you the picture is dark and terrible, but one for the memory box.

They all had a slice of pound cake and are now quite content snoozing away ;)

On another note I have a new listing to share with you all.
Meet Chilbert!

He is currently being offered on Ebay! He`s got such a goofy expression doesn`t he? Oh well anyways the last two days I didn`t get much done so I think tomorrow I will have to force myself to sit in front of the sewing machine. Need to earn my keep around here..LOL

Autumn is here....

"Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting
and autumn a mosaic of them all."

Anyone for some Mulled Cider.

I came across this recipe and thought I`d share. I think I will whip up a batch over the weekend. Wish me luck as this is a new adventure and I think I will need it, well or maybe the ones drinking it will....LOL

What You Need:
fresh cider
whole cloves
cinnamon sticks
whole allspice
cheesecloth
large stock pot
brown sugar
ladle
mugs
Pour one gallon of fresh cider into a large pot on the stove or into a crockpot or slow cooker.
Add a half cup of brown sugar.
Place 1 teaspoon of whole cloves, 1 teaspoon of whole allspice, and 3 cinnamon sticks on a square of cheesecloth and tie up. Add to the pot.
Heat the cider to a boil, stirring regularly. Leave the pot uncovered so that you and your family or guests can enjoy the warm, delicious aroma.
Once the cider boils, lower the setting to simmer for at least another 15 minutes to allow for thorough infusion of the spices. Stir occasionally.
Remove the spices from the pot and ladle hot mulled cider into mugs or other glasses designed for hot beverages.
Tips:
If you don't have cheesecloth on had, use a tea ball or a coffee filter to hold the spices.
Add a splash of rum or brandy to really warm up a chilly day.
For a decorative touch, you can stud an apple with cloves and allow that to float in your cider pot instead of adding cloves to your spice bag.

Boy what you can get done when your internet isn`t working!

LOL. I wasn`t able to get on the computer all day so it left me sitting at the kitchen table working away on Halloween BOO stockings. They we`re made from one of Folk*Art*By*Dee patterns. I had a blast making these and plan on making a set for my own mantle. Lord knows they wouldn`t have been done had I had my internet and phone service working ;)
Heres a peek at them. There quite large measuring in at 18" tall each one and thats not including the sweet annie.

Well tomorrow will be cleaning day as I didn`t get any of that done today, but heck atleast we have clean clothes ;)

Happy Patriots Day....

My heart and prayers go out to all the families who lost loved ones and have been directly effected by September 11th. I myself will never forget that day.

All parents we`re scrambling to the schools to get their children out and at home safe and sound. The shear panic that radiated from the city to even out on Long Island. A day I will never forget.

Abig thank you to all our soldiers who still continue to protect our freedoms bravely everyday.

Well another Big Brother Night:

I can`t wait to see who it is to be sent home tonight! I`m hoping it`s Memphis and Dan in the final two, but time will tell!

I did manage to make two more things to get listed on ebay. One is A Wicked Santa. He warned you to behave or you would end up on the naughty list.

The other is a snowman trinket box.
