Good morning.

Hi ya all~ It was brisk out again this morning a cold 19 degrees, but I bundled up and headed out for my morning walk. I really shouldn`t complain I think it will get much harder come the summer time with the heat. It`s much harder to cool down then heat yourself up right?
As cold as it was out can you believe the birds we`re all out there and chirping away. Theres no sweeter sounds to my ears then that. To me it`s one of the most calming sounds, maybe because it makes me think of spring which is my favorite season of all :) Another sound I love to hear is waking on a saturday morning with the windows cracked a bit and hearing the lawn mowers going! That for sure screams spring is here. I told ya I love spring didn`t I.....LOL
I was excited to have finished up 2 Raggedy Annie`s that I made from a sweetmeadowsfarm pattern. After messing up the first set of heads I think the end result turned out great. Let me share their pictures with you heres the first one
and the second Annie
They are both currently listed on ebay if you would like to peek at some more pictures and a big thank you to Maureen for sharing her creative energy with other sellers!
Well the rest of my day will consist of doing housework...yuck, but someone has to do it!
Hope you all have a wonderful thursday!

It`s that time again for ....drumroll....American Idol! Any of you fans? I love the first few episodes with all the people who really don`t have much talent, but do offer up a whole bunch of laughs and who can`t use that! I usually stop watching once they weed out all the weeds ;) Ok must go get myself ready for the entertainment!

Hope your all staying warm & have a great night~Kelly

It`s been a long day.....

Well it`s already evening time and boy has it been a long day! I commited myself to trying to get healthy and started walking 2.5 miles about 5 weeks ago. Lets just say today sure was a challenge! It was brutally cold out, but I was determined not to give in . It was nice to have a walking pal , when hubby`s home from work he joins me. That always makes for a nice change of pace ;)

I spent most of the day today behind the sewing machine. I was working on Maureen`s( sweetmeadowsfarm, I just love her patterns!) Round about pattern. I figured hey what the heck instead of doing one why not start off doing five at one time. Yeah sounded like a good plan at the time and with hubby adding" ah you`ll never get them all done" of course like all women I though yeah watch me....LOL. I managed to sew and stuff all the body parts except the heads. Then just when I started to sew the first stuffed head onto the body I came to a screeching halt!

Ut oh why is my head to big for the neck, I thought to myself. Yeah HELLO should have read all the directions. I needed a seam allowance my trace line was not my sew line. LOL ,Argh...... So off I go tomorrow for more muslin. Just another work day ;)

I think I will settle down in front of the fire with a nice glass of wine. Hoping you are all staying warm this evening it`s quite chilly out there.

Goodnight~Kelly

Good saturday morning friends.

With the encouragement of my good friend Sara I figured I would finally give this a try! I have made so many friends over the good ole keyboard and I thought theres always room for more . Let me tell you a bit about myself I`m 35 years young and am married with 4 daughters and a step daughter who lives in North Carolina. Lets just say the amount of estrogen running through the house is alot for one to handle...LOL ..poor hubby! Oh I can`t forget about my precious furbabies Tank , Buddy( 2 bullmastiffs) and Tigger my tabby cat.

I`am a stay at home mom who loves to create prim dollies. I`m a self taught sewer. Funny I can remember the very first time sitting in front of the machine...LOL It took me forever to figure out how to thread the bobbin. Well that was a little over 3 years ago boy how time flies. I can truly say I love what I do and how it allows me the opportunity to be available to my children and the drop of a hat. For that I`am grateful.

I`m a proud member of the ebay group Kindred Sisters Gathering Post. A wonderful group of talented artists who I truly consider my friends. Be sure to head over and check out our listing theres much talent to be found!http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=ksgp&category0= I have been in awe of so many other artists work that it keeps me plugging along.

Well I didn`t think I`d have much to say, but I`m already writing a book..LOL I guess I should save some for another day before I run out of gas ;)

Thanks for stopping by~Kelly
